MSP Legends is a four-part documentary series that explores the people, culture, and impact of the managed service provider (MSP) community through the eyes of Pax8's Rob Rae. Filmed across North America and culminating at the Beyond 2025 conference, the series blends documentary filmmaking with authentic, character-driven storytelling to spotlight an industry that often operates behind the scenes.
As Lead Editor, I was responsible for shaping the creative vision and narrative across the entire season. Working with hundreds of hours of interviews, vérité footage, event coverage, and travel cinematography, I crafted each episode into a cohesive story with a cinematic pace and emotional arc. My work included story development, narrative structure, pacing, music selection, motion graphics integration, color finishing, sound design, and final delivery.
Rather than producing a traditional corporate video, our team set out to create a documentary that felt authentic and human—capturing the relationships, passion, and community that define the MSP ecosystem. From intimate conversations in Connecticut to industry events like ASCII Edge and the behind-the-scenes energy of Beyond 2025, each episode was designed to immerse viewers in the experiences of the people shaping the future of managed services.
The completed series became a flagship storytelling initiative for Pax8 Studios, helping elevate the company's brand through cinematic, long-form content while celebrating the innovators and leaders driving the IT channel forward.
